Mermaids have become one of my signature subjects. This is an enhanced digital photograph of a brass garden ornament. I have taken many photos of this metal mermaid and have gotten a lot of mileage out of the colorful variations I have been able to create.
I only use the simple freeware that came with my Canon camera to manipulate the color, contrast and saturation. I do not use Photoshop or any other powerful software. Nothing in the photo has been altered. It looks exactly as I took it. Except of course the colors have been enhanced for artistic excitement
